On September 14th, 2023, Judge Andrew Hanen of the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Texas ruled DACA (Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals) unlawful, as part of an attempt to terminate the DACA program. Currently, new DACA applications can not be processed, until and unless there is an appeal to this decision. Existing DACA recipients can continue to renew their work authorization and are protected from deportation. Please see the National Immigration Forum and the USCIS Newsroom page for additional information.
