ISS RP Discusses Extreme Vetting and US Visas

JUNE 20, 2018
2:00 P.M. – 3:00 P.M. EDT

Visa revocations and “extreme vetting” are hot topics in NAFSAns’ work with international students, scholars and faculty. In this session, an immigration law expert and former Consular Officer will provide insight into the regulations and policies on visa revocation and the impact of a revocation on a nonimmigrant’s stay in the U.S. and future visa applications. We will also discuss the Form DS-5535, part of the “extreme vetting” initiative.

This is an online event and free and open to all international education professionals. Questions will be accepted via the chat box and addressed, as time allows, at the end of the presentation. However, we encourage you to submit your questions in advance through the registration process. The presentation will be recorded and made available for replay within a few days of the live event.

Please note that no current U.S. government officials will participate in this event.
