On Wednesday, August 15, Attorneys Dan Berger and Elizabeth A. Goss will hold a discussion for NAFSA Region XI Government Regulations Advisory Committee (GRAC) to discuss the impact of three recent USCIS memos related to accrual of unlawful presence for F and J Nonimmigrants, Notices to Appear, and deference to USCIS officers to deny cases without requesting further evidence.
They will give a general overview of the memos and discuss their impact on international student/scholar advising practices, allowing time for discussion and questions. The meeting will be held from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Boston University Global Programs International Students & Scholars Office.
